Düsseldorf – Andrea Berg (58) is one of the most famous pop stars in Germany – and has been filling the largest halls and concert halls for years.
But like many other artists, the corona pandemic thwarted her plans: a whole series of events had to be canceled.
Now an event company is demanding compensation for costs incurred.

Andrea Berg is now back on stage and warming up her audience at live concerts.
She was also a guest again this year at Florian Silbereisen's (42) “Schlagerchampions”.

But about two years ago the world looked less rosy.
Due to the strict measures during the pandemic, an organizer had to cancel many concerts.

More specifically, it is about an Andrea Berg concert that was scheduled for December 2022 and the “Winter am Rhein” concert series.
For this, the organizer wants a total of around 700,000 euros in compensation from the city of Düsseldorf.
The money is to be paid out from a special federal fund for cultural events - this was set up specifically for the Corona crisis.

The city justifies its decision by saying that the events were outside the funding period.
According to the report, this was only scheduled until the end of March 2022.
However, “Winter on the Rhine” and Andrea Berg’s hit concert were not scheduled until around six months later.
The administrative court has now heard both sides - after consultation, the individual parties should be informed in writing of the decision.
