It is unclear whether he was in a hurry or just got lost: a driver suddenly appeared in the middle of a construction site, as a video shows.

Vienna – Driving in the city is not always easy.

Particularly in Vienna, the one-way streets and winding alleys mean you often find yourself in places you didn't actually want to go.

That may be what happened to this driver whose joyride was now captured on video.

Similar images show a car that suddenly found itself on the platform.

A driver has even gotten lost in a parking lot.

Car drives through a construction site at night - residents film

The video was filmed from the window of a residential building.

The setting is a street in Vienna Alsergrund.

A construction site stretches along the tram tracks.

Parts of the asphalt are torn up, construction vehicles and tools are on the site.

The road actually doesn't seem passable.

Nevertheless, the video shows a dark Audi making its way through the construction site.

However, the car must stop in front of the barrier that delimits the construction site.

But that isn't a big hurdle for the driver either. The first giggles can be heard from those filming, who are wondering how he gets out of this situation.

“Is he opening now or what?” one viewer wonders.

The driver leaves the car and sprints to the white barrier.

He quickly pushed one of them aside and was about to get back in when he noticed that the opening was still too narrow for his car.

He tries to move a street sign, but it jumps out of its base when he tries.

“The question is, will he do it again?” asks the filming resident.

The answer is no.

The car crosses the now open barrier and drives away into the night.

“Yes, and then leave it open,” the viewer says angrily before the video ends.

With chic and indifference - comments can be made via video

The users in the comments are also not very enthusiastic about the driver's behavior: "I would have thought he at least had the decency to fix it, but not that." "People are so stupid," complains another.

Another sums up the video aptly: “The most Austrian thing about the video: a chic, a indifference and a stupid rude comment!” Not only the calmness, but also other characteristics distinguish the typical Viennese from the Germans.
