The DWD has issued official weather warnings for Bavaria.
The south of the Free State is particularly affected - an overview.
Munich - It's supposed to be mild in Bavaria at Easter, but the way there could still be uncomfortable - at least in places.
The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued warnings.
DWD issues weather warnings for Bavaria: squalls in the south
An official warning of squalls has been in effect since 6 a.m. on Tuesday and until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27th.
“Storm gusts with speeds of around 80km/h occur from the south above 1500 m.
In exposed locations, heavy gusts of around 100 km/h must be expected,” says the DWD.

Oberallgäu district (warning until 12 p.m.)
Ostallgäu district
Weilheim-Schongau district (warning until 11 a.m.)
Garmisch-Partenkirchen district
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district
Miesbach district
Rosenheim district
Traunstein district
Berchtesgadener Land district
Storm gusts in Bavaria: Weather service draws attention to dangers
The DWD also points out possible dangers: “Danger from individual falling branches;
flying objects.
Recommendations for action: secure free-standing objects (e.g. screens and furniture);
e.g. attach tents and covers;
Watch out for falling objects (e.g. branches) when outdoors.”
Wednesday, March 27th, will be uncomfortable in places in Bavaria.

A gust of wind warning is in effect in a wide strip over the districts affected by the squall warning.
The warning comes into effect at different times depending on the district and city, but the focus is on the afternoon to evening.
In the Unterallgäu district, the DWD warns between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m., in Munich between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and in Passau between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.
