April 6, 2019 is a day of mourning for Madeleine (
first name has been changed
), a 74-year-old retiree.
She buried her husband in a church in Compiègne (Oise), Notre-Dame de la Source.
She is then far from suspecting that this is also the moment that Yves C., a 56-year-old parishioner, will choose her as a victim.
The latter was judged this Tuesday, by the Compiègne court, in particular for a “fraud committed to the detriment of a vulnerable person” which lasted several months.
He was sentenced, in his absence, to a one-year suspended prison sentence.
On the day of the funeral, Yves is in charge of the songs.
Seeing Madeleine very affected by the loss of her husband, he offers her moral and material support, voluntary of course, to help her get through this ordeal.
The widow's daughter is in the United States, the latter now lives alone in her pretty bourgeois house in the imperial city.
In the time that followed, Yves called her and went to see her regularly.
A bond of trust is forged.
