“It’s a cosmetic measure”: in Fontenay, the Parc school rejects the uniform experiment

Twenty-three against, two for, two abstentions.

The result is unequivocal.

While the municipality of Fontenay-aux-Roses — led by the mayor (UDI), Laurent Vastel — wanted the city to be one of the volunteers to experiment with the unique school outfit from next fall, the school council of the elementary of the Park decided otherwise.

The sole master on board with regard to any modification of the internal regulations, therefore prior to the adoption of the uniform, he overwhelmingly rejected the project.

This extraordinary school council, which was held Monday evening, brought together 29 people — 14 teachers, 13 parents mainly represented by the FCPE, the director and the mayor — who voted by secret ballot.

For the local political opposition, it is a “real disavowal, a snub for the mayor”.
