Gaël Giordana,
presenter of the Franceinfo weekend morning show, during the 2022-2023 season, revealed that he was the victim of sexual and moral harassment on the part of Camille Grenu, his former co-presenter.
His revelations come after he was fired in July 2023 and completed 74 fixed-term contracts in two years within the public service group.

These facts were recognized by the courts and France Télévisions was convicted on January 25 for sexual harassment, moral harassment, breach of the obligation of safety in the workplace, unfair execution of the employment contract, reclassification of fixed-term contracts into permanent contracts. and nullity of the dismissal.
Both parties decided to appeal this decision.

Gaël Giordana spoke to our colleagues from Le Parisien in an interview where he revealed his version of the facts.
Camille Grenu is said to have made serious remarks about her sexual orientation on several occasions, both on film sets and in private.
“She told me that, for me, football mainly happened in the locker rooms, that I must appreciate musical comedies or Brad Pitt because he has protruding abs… She also asked me between two reports if I sodomized in the toilet a columnist because his badge was on my desk.

The Beginning of Hell”
The presenter then claimed to have denounced these actions internally.
Five months before his dismissal, the journalist confided to Marc Cantarelli, deputy editorial director,
“the inappropriate, unsuitable and sexual behavior, actions, comments and messages of Camille Grenu”

“He assured me that I would have the support of the editorial staff because they had already been warned in the past

“That was the beginning of hell.
Human resources began a two-month investigation.
At the same time, Erik Berg (director of the channel at the time) told me to return to the

and therefore to no longer be on the air while Camille was kept on the morning show of weekend.
And he said to me:
“Listen, Gaël, no man died, go see Asterix and Obelix at the cinema, it will change your mind.” The journalist, refusing to be removed from the The antenna, was finally entrusted with “the 5 p.m.” on Saturday and Sunday,

In the conclusions of the investigation, the human resources department considered that the facts did not amount to harassment.
According to them, Camille Grenu would have used a
“form of clumsiness and a lack of discernment”

Le Parisien also wanted to point out that the presenter is the wife of Pierre-Yves Grenu, editor-in-chief of “Télématin” on France 2.
A few months later, Gaël Giordana was finally fired from the public service group.
“Even today, I don’t know why France Télévisions fired me.
There were needs, I was never reproached for anything…”
And although he has now returned to professional activity through freelance work, among others, for Radio Classique, this story has a major impact on his life.
“These are very serious facts.
These people put me in the closet, destroyed my professional growth, my career, my private life.
And no one was sanctioned for that
,” he stressed, choosing to speak freely about his experience to
