Investigations were carried out in the city and district of Munich as well as in Augsburg: three burglars who had been causing mischief for six months have now been arrested.

Their goal: primarily kindergartens.

Small animals also make a mess: at least when just 100 euros helps you with your next drug trip.

That's why a gang of burglars didn't seem to mind that they could only make small amounts of money with their actions.

Three young men have stolen a mere 4,200 euros since last fall.

To do this, they have joined a whopping 56 kindergartens, schools and youth clubs in Munich, the surrounding area and the Augsburg area.

Now the police have tracked down the perpetrators: the handcuffs clicked on the last of them last week.

She is being investigated for gang theft.

Damage to the facilities amounts to 20,000 euros.

A successful manhunt in which the Munich, Upper Bavaria North and Swabia North police headquarters were involved.

At the head of the investigation was Angelia Klickermann from Commissariat 52 (burglaries of commercial establishments).

As she explained on Wednesday, the amount of loot could increase.

The evaluations of the individual cases are still ongoing.

Specifically, there are 30 crimes in Munich, 16 in the area around Augsburg and 10 in the northern district of Munich.

Most affected were municipal or church facilities, where windows were smashed or smashed during the night.

The employees then made the shocking discoveries in the morning.

“Of course that was also a burden for the children,” explained Klickermann.

They had to deal with the fact that intruders were in their shelters.

The suspects are a man from Augsburg (31), a man from Riem (25) and a 25-year-old with no fixed address.

“They have a connection to BTM-Milleu,” explained the commissioner.

That means: All three are known to the police for drug offenses and other crimes.

The Munich resident was arrested in December 2023 when he attempted to break into a kindergarten in Trudering.

At that time, the investigative situation was not yet sufficient for an arrest warrant.

This has changed through the cooperation of the three police associations.

The 56 acts caused damage to the houses amounting to around 20,000 euros.
