A young man was stabbed three times in the street on Tuesday March 26 in Chartres (Eure-et-Loir).
The victim found refuge in a bar located on avenue Jehan de Beauce, around 6:45 p.m.
Wounded in the chest, the 17-year-old high school student living in Chartres was supported by a passerby who witnessed his attack.
According to initial information, he was leaving the station when he was pursued “by two African-type men”, says the public prosecutor.
“One reached him on the avenue and, at number 9, stabbed him several times before joining his friend,” continues Frédéric Chevallier.
Treated by SMUR doctors, the seriously injured young man reportedly received three stab wounds which hit his lungs.
“His vital prognosis was and remains serious,” notes the magistrate.
He was hospitalized at the Coudray hospital center (Eure-et-Loir).
CCTV cameras filmed the attack
The analysis of the images recorded by the video protection cameras existing at the scene of this crime scene allowed “a precise description of the two individuals involved.
They were arrested a little later in the evening during a police intervention,” continues the prosecutor.
The two young people had taken refuge in a building hall because they were being pursued by others who probably wanted revenge.
The two suspects were placed in police custody.
Aged 16, these high school students live in Lucé (Eure-et-Loir) and Les Villages-Vovéens (Eure-et-Loir).
They are already known to juvenile justice.
Their motive has not been established.
“It’s probably a rivalry between young people from different neighborhoods, but we have to wait for the hearings,” concludes the prosecutor.
