The radical Puntano leader
Carlos Alberto Becerra
died after crashing into a toll booth on the Córdoba-Carlos Paz highway.
The main hypothesis is that he could have decompensated while driving.
He was
70 years old
.
A doctor and representative of the
Radical Civic Union (UCR)
of San Luis, Becerra had been a conventional constituent and provincial deputy for the Ayacucho department.
He lived in the town of Candelaria, north of San Luis.
This Tuesday afternoon he suffered a
serious accident
when he lost control of the red Fiat Toro truck in which he was traveling towards Córdoba and collided with a retaining wall of the toll booth on the Justiniano Allende Posse highway.
According to Eldoce, the main hypothesis is that
he suffered a decompensation
that caused him to lose control of the truck.
The vehicle ended up turned upside down, between two of the toll payment booths.
The first tests indicate that
there were no signs of braking
in the previous meters.
Becerra, who was traveling alone, managed to be removed by Malagueño volunteer firefighters and emergency service agents who assisted him, but he died shortly after as a result of the serious injuries he suffered.
The farewell to Carlos Becerra of the UCR San Luis,
"From the UCR of San Luis we say goodbye with deep pain to the coreligionist Dr. Carlos Becerra. We accompany his family and loved ones in the town of Candelaria in our condolences," the official Facebook account of the party's San Luis headquarters posted this morning.
