.: For a long time it was quiet in the missing Lina case.
There has been no trace of the 15-year-old from Alsace since September 2023.
On Tuesday there was movement in the investigation (see initial report below).
The three people were released from police custody on Wednesday night.

The police custody had awakened hope.
“Since the opening of the judicial investigation on October 1, 2023 for kidnapping and criminal deprivation of liberty, the investigation has continued unabated to search for the young Lina,” BFMTV quotes from a press release from the Public Prosecutor of the Republic of Strasbourg, Yolande Renzi.
This police custody was part of the goal of exploring all traces useful for finding the truth and testing the relevance of all hypotheses put forward.

.: Is there finally a lead in the missing Lina case?
On Tuesday morning, three people were taken into custody by police in Alsace, France.
For the first time since the investigation began, after six months.
According to French media, a couple and a man are to be questioned again about their statements.
According to Le Parisien,
possible contradictory information could
be the reason for this.
However, the identity of the suspects is initially unclear.
The portal

claims to have found out that it was Lina's ex-boyfriend.
However, the relationship between the two was probably nothing serious.
A well was also examined by a diver on Tuesday (March 26) - without results, reports

information, seven police divers were on duty at another fishing pond
on Monday (March 25).
A training operation was moved to this location near Lina's disappearance.
But nothing came of it here either.
In January, investigators launched a call for witnesses to parents of students at Lina's former school and other schools in the area.
Information was requested about a man in his 20s who was said to be driving a dark Clio.
It remains unclear whether there is a connection to the new ongoing developments.

The 15-year-old disappeared on September 23, 2023 while walking to the Saint-Blaise-la-Roche (Bas-Rhin) train station in Alsace.
Lina wanted to go to Strasbourg to visit a friend.
But she didn't get on the train.
Lina was last seen by witnesses walking along the RD350 road.

Update from March 26th, 2 p.m
.: These are the first arrests in the missing Lina case.
There has been no trace of the 15-year-old for six months.
A couple and a man from Alsace have been questioned by the police since Tuesday morning.
The three suspects are to be questioned about discrepancies in their schedule on the day of Lina's disappearance, several French media outlets unanimously report, citing a source close to the investigation.
Other witnesses are also said to have been summoned for questioning.
A few days ago, Lina's mother and her lawyer addressed the public at a press conference.
She regretted that the family still did not have access to the investigation files.

Lina missing person case: Police take three suspects into custody
The suspects are said to be a couple and a man, according to French broadcaster BFMTV.
The police want to clarify discrepancies in their schedule and their statements.
All three come from the region.
According to
Les Dernières Nouvelles d'Alscace (DNA),
the couple was summoned to the police on Tuesday morning and the man was arrested at his home.
Shortly after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, a well in the area was also said to have been examined by divers.
Apparently without any result.
Lina's mother and her lawyer gave a press conference on Friday (March 22nd).
The mother complained that she still had not been given access to the files.

Almost six months ago, Lina disappeared on a three-kilometer walk to the train station in Saint-Blaise-la-Roche.
The teenager wanted to go to Strasbourg to see her boyfriend, but didn't get there.
Two witnesses saw the 15-year-old on the way to the train station.
But the investigators know that she didn't even get on the train.
Search efforts have so far been unsuccessful.
A witness said he had seen the young person as a passenger in a dark small car, which is why the owners of such cars in the region were targeted by investigators.
Arrests have now been made in the case for the first time.
According to reports, the investigators are concerned with checking all possible scenarios, so the arrests do not necessarily mean a breakthrough.
