The Imi Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo, led by Mauro Micillo, participated in a credit line for a maximum amount of 315 million dollars in favor of Mytilineos, a company dedicated to the construction and development of renewable energy projects based in Greece, for the construction of four solar parks located in Chile with a total capacity of 588 MW.
The operation was structured by a pool of international banks, including Intesa Sanpaolo through its Imi Cib Division, and is part of the global strategy for the development of renewable infrastructures Mytilineos which extend into Chile.
The implementation of the four projects will allow an overall production of approximately 1.6 terrawatt hours (Twh) of clean energy per year, with a reduction of over 600 thousand tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions on an annual basis.
"Intesa Sanpaolo, through the Imi Cib Division, has always been at the top in project financing. We are happy to support Mytilineos in its fifth international solar park, a project that further strengthens the company's leadership in the sector", says Nicola Doninelli of the Imi Corporate & Investment Banking Division of IntesaSanpaolo.
Participation in the Mytilineos operation is part of the development strategy of the international activities of the Imi Cib division, as envisaged in the strategic plans of the group led by CEO Carlo Messina.
