The music played just a few hours after Alberto Núñez Feijóo confirmed the leader of the Catalan PP as a candidate for the Catalan elections.
An appointment embroiled in controversy for having ended two weeks after the calling of the regional elections due to the resistance of the leader of the Popular Party to him repeating himself as head of the list.
Afterwards, Fernández went to the Grand Marina hotel in Barcelona to meet Feijóo again at the meeting of the regional board of directors.
In that place, a cloud of photographers awaited the greeting between the two.
The PP president's team, which waited for half an hour in another part of the building, avoided the image at all costs and replaced it with another one of unity.
Walking together, Feijóo, Fernández, MEP Dolors Montserrat and the Deputy Secretary of Organization, Carmen Fúnez, arrived on the hotel terrace.
The PP leader snorted and patted his candidate on the back before appearing before the cameras.

,” he exclaimed upon arriving and before entering the room where officials and members of the Catalan Popular Party were waiting for the leaders in a room facing the sea.
Once inside, a handshake took place between Feijóo and Fernández to stage the armistice.
During their interventions, everyone repeated words like “unity”, “all together” or “rowing in the same boat”.
Fernández spoke after Montserrat.
The MEP had been in the pools as a possible head of the list and Feijóo's favorite, and she has been appointed by the national leadership as campaign manager.
Fernández hugged her somewhat nervously.

According to the latest barometer from the Center for Opinion Studies of the Generalitat (CEO), the Popular Party could rise from three to 13 seats as the fourth force in the 12-M polls, with Ciudadanos already out of the Catalan political board.
In a brief intervention, Fernández called for “opening a new stage in Catalonia” in the face of the “process” that aims to “resurrect” the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and his pacts from La Moncloa with the nationalist forces.
Feijóo succeeded him before the microphone to anoint him in public and launch together into the pre-campaign.

“What credibility can those who denied the amnesty have?” Feijóo added a day after the Government announced that it would file an appeal before the Constitutional Court against the parliamentary initiative promoted in the Parliament by Junts, ERC and the CUP.
The leader of the PP drew a Catalonia plunged into a “nightmare” and “decadence” due to the actions of the Junts and ERC governments, which he now equates with the PSC.
And he called to concentrate the vote of the “constitutionalists” opposed to the independence movement, of the PSC and Vox, around the PP.

Feijóo took advantage of his intervention to also launch national messages against La Moncloa.
The leader of the PP assured that Sánchez will continue to lead the Executive for as long as his nationalist partners deem.
A support that in his opinion depends on the result of the Catalan polls and that will be maintained only if Illa allows an ERC or Junts Government.
Several sources from the Catalan PP agree that the event held this Wednesday in Barcelona, in which the regional board of directors of the party confirmed Fernández, was intended to stage “unity” after the drink that the nomination of the leader entailed.
And in the midst of the differences within the popular Catalans, where those who like and oppose their head of the list coexist.
Attending the meeting were, among others, the mayor of Badalona, Xavier Albiol, and the councilor of Castedellfels, Manu Reyes, who was also considered as a possible candidate.
After the meeting, Feijóo and Fernández went to a meal with other Catalan leaders to seal peace.
“No candidate is capable of doing things alone, this candidate belongs to the team and this team belongs to the candidate,” Feijóo expressed in his speech.
