Involved in legal proceedings for having disguised the accounts of his company Trump Organization, the Republican candidate even denounces on his Truth Social network a “witch hunt” disrupting his race for the White House.
“If Trump is convicted criminally by a popular jury, it would have a negative impact on his campaign.
All his legal cases anchor him to a base that he cannot expand,” explains Nicole Bacharan, political scientist specializing in the United States.
