Switzerland – Beatrice Egli (35) is one of the most successful singers in the German-speaking pop scene and inspires millions of fans with her authentic and honest manner.
Now the Swiss woman openly admits the insecurities she struggled with when it came to body image.

In a new episode of her podcast “Egli Extrem”, the 35-year-old talks to Sarah Engels (31) about self-doubt and ideals of beauty.
The topic of cosmetic surgery and breast enlargements or reductions also comes up: As a teenager, Egli had “very large” breasts very early on.
“And that was really stressful for me and I thought: 'I have to make it smaller,'” she admits.
But ultimately the singer decided against surgery.
She thinks it was a good decision today: “For me it is something very essential that I can love myself as I am.
Any intervention in the body would be a 'no' to me, to my being, to not loving myself as I am," emphasizes Beatrice Egli in the podcast.

Nevertheless, there are moments in Beatrice Egli's life in which she struggles with her self-confidence.
"Of course we don't look at each other every day and say: 'I'm the most beautiful, I'm the best,'" she says.
That sometimes depends on the day's form.
She sometimes feels a lot of pressure, especially as a public figure.
For example, regular negative comments on the Internet bother you: “There are comments that just hit you and it hurts you,” explains the 35-year-old.

Sarah Engels knows this too.
“Some comments hurt, even though I’m a confident woman now,” she admits.
Engels regularly receives negative messages about her bust size.
The 31-year-old also toyed with the idea of breast surgery because, as she explains, they had become smaller due to her pregnancies.
But she also decided against it: “That’s part of it: it comes from breastfeeding and from gaining and losing weight.
I thought a lot about whether I wanted to have my breasts done and I was always glad that I didn't.”
