The big finale of “The Bachelors” was on Wednesday – but could RTL prevail against the competition?
For example, “TV total” was shown on ProSieben.
Cologne – Everything was different with “The Bachelors” this year – because for the first time, two singles, Dennis Gries (30) and Sebastian Klaus (35), were looking for their dream woman in the rose show.
But one thing remained the same this season: At the end, both had to hand over one last cut flower.
Certainly the most exciting moment of the show for the men and their finalists - but did the audience see it that way?
The competition from ProSieben at the same time was strong: “TV total” was on.
Finale of “The Bachelors”: RTL in the ratings battle against ProSieben and “TV total”
On RTL+, viewers were able to see in advance which women Dennis and Sebastian had chosen.
At the reunion it was also announced what happened to the final couples after “The Bachelors”.
But were there also fans who watched the last episode of the season on linear television on March 20, 2024?

According to
dwdl.de
, the finale on RTL achieved the best reach since the end of January with 1.43 million viewers - but in direct comparison with “TV total” it didn't look as good.
The show with Sebastian Pufpaff (47) was way ahead, especially among the young target group.
With 0.81 million advertising-relevant viewers, ProSieben had a 15.5 percent market share in prime time.
“Only” 0.49 million people watched “The Bachelors” at the same time, which corresponded to a market share of 9.5 percent.
The rose show was also unable to clearly assert itself against “The Big Celebrity Baking” on Sat.1.
With 0.48 million viewers, the show took 10.1 percent of the market share over its longer broadcast time.
The baking show is also just ahead in terms of overall range.
What number of viewers set the record in Germany?
On July 13, 2014, ARD made television history: According to estimates, a whopping 34.65 million people
watched the World Cup final between Germany and Argentina (1-0 n.V.)
on their own television sets.
Incorrect: People who followed the game during public viewing or in bars were not taken into account in this count.
The actual number is likely to be considerably higher.

Public service afternoon programs dominate Wednesday
Overall, things didn't look all that rosy for the primetime formats on Wednesday - because only a few primetime programs appeared in the list of the strongest programs of the day.
The “Tagesschau” took first place with a total of 4.47 million viewers and a market share of 18.3 percent.
“Today” on ZDF also scored points with 3.74 million viewers (19.2 percent market share).
ZDF also secured a success in the early evening program with SOKO Wismar (3.44 million viewers and 21.2 percent market share) and the overall victory with “Ghostbusters: Legacy” at 8:15 p.m.

“Bares für Rares”, “Who knows something like that?” and “The Rosenheim Cops” also appear in the list of the best 25 shows.
The afternoon program of the public broadcasters showed once again that it can form serious competition.
Because “The Bachelors” has recently had fewer and fewer viewers, RTL spoke about the future of the format.
