This initiative was proposed by the Buenos Aires representative Patricia Glize after encountering the particular story of Enzo, a child of only one year and four months who suffers from Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome: it is a rare disease that weakens the immune system. and whose cure is through a bone marrow transplant, but he has not yet found one that is compatible with him.

“Donating doesn't hurt, waiting does hurt and there are a lot of people on that list, so we invite everyone to participate,” says the mother of the little boy who must undergo the transplant for his cure, and whose chances of success are considerably greater if receives treatment before turning two years old.

“We saw the deficiencies that exist with attracting donors, so I proposed that we create a permanent position in the legislature every 3 or 4 months,” said Glize, who together with the first vice president of the City Legislature, Matías López, articulated the necessary operation. so that the legislative palace can become a donor center for a day.

“Enzo's story is actually that of many children, and many families that can change with a simple blood sample and registration in the bone marrow donor registry,” López reflected.
