"Despite 40% of companies feeling close to environmental issues, the costs necessary to face the ecological transition, to date, are still very high, and often unsustainable: 3 out of 4 companies are struggling with these difficulties. Despite this, most of them has already undertaken energy efficiency and improvement initiatives in waste management, recognizing the importance and centrality of environmental issues for the development of company strategies".
Giovanni Acampora, responsible for the ecological transition and sustainability of Confcommercio-Imprese per l'Italia, said this at the presentation of the 2024 edition of ImprendiGreen in Rome.
"To achieve a transition that is at the same time fair, good and just - concluded Acampora - I believe a greater effort is necessary on the part of the institutions in implementing actions to support small and medium-sized enterprises, through incentives and targeted accompanying policies".
