This joyride is fatal for two brothers: after their series of burglaries in Erdinger's allotments, they cause an accident with a garden owner's car.

Erding

- An accident at the Erdinger Volksfestplatz put the police on the trail of two young people who broke into nine allotment garden arbors between Saturday lunchtime and Sunday lunchtime.

There they stole a lot of things - including the key to a Citroen, which had been stuck with a bunch of keys in the door lock of an arbor.

The joyride in the car was the brothers' undoing.

It crashed on Sunday around 1:50 p.m.

According to police, the young arborcracker ignored the right of way of another car.

When the 27-year-old victim tried to confront him, the teenager and his passenger, who was around the same age, fled.

The police who were called quickly located the owner of the Citroen.

He hadn't even noticed that the key ring and the car were missing.

Father comes to the station with his sons

The search for the person who caused the accident was initially unsuccessful.

At around 4:30 p.m., a father and his two sons appeared at the Erding police station to report their actions.

During questioning, the two young people admitted to breaking into nine gazebos.

The police were shown the affected huts and left a notification for the owners.

If other arbors show signs of break-in, the owners should report to the Erding police station.

The stolen items were handed over to the police.
