The Bobigny public prosecutor's office (Seine-Saint-Denis) opens a judicial investigation this Tuesday for "manslaughter", following the death of Wanys, 18, killed in the collision of his scooter with a police vehicle, on March 13, 2024, in Aubervilliers.
That evening, the pilot allegedly refused to comply.
He was then chased by a police vehicle, which requested backup.
It was another crew arriving opposite which hit the two-wheeler, after having swerved to its left, leaving one dead, the driver, and one seriously injured, his passenger, Ibrahima, 19 years old.
The prosecution announces the co-referral of two investigating judges to shed light on these controversial facts.
Initially, two investigations were opened.
The first on the grounds of “aggravated refusal to comply”.
The prosecution indicates that “this procedure will soon be closed without further action, due to the death of the driver”.
