On March 22, a driver was arrested for speeding at 166 km/h instead of 130 km/h on the A7 motorway in Drôme, near Bourg-lès-Valence.
The police then tested his blood alcohol level which turned out to be 1.3 grams of alcohol per liter of blood.
According to France Bleu, he then pushed a soldier several times during his arrest.
The gendarme fell heavily to the ground and received 9 days of ITT.
During this speed control operation carried out last weekend, the police noted 136 infractions, including thirteen of more than 40 km/h above the maximum authorized speed.
Five people had their licenses withdrawn.
“In Drôme, speed is the leading cause of death on the roads
,” indicates the department’s gendarmerie.
