Immediately after the tragedy, rescue measures were initiated and an emergency call was made.

But any help came too late for the long-time employee.

The emergency services couldn't have helped him anymore.

“We are deeply shocked by this tragic industrial accident.

Our thoughts are very close to the family of our employee who died in the accident,” it continued.

The opening of the theme park on March 28th will take place as planned.

Phantasialand near Cologne is one of the largest theme parks in Europe and attracts hundreds of thousands of people every year.
