The head of the Keren Bar Menachem Police Department will meet at the beginning of next month with the family of Yuval Castleman, who was shot to death when he neutralized a terrorist in a terrorist attack in Jerusalem in November 2023. The suspicion is that his death was caused by an accidental shooting on the part of the soldier Aviad Frija. Those involved in covering up the affair will face only disciplinary justice.

After the disaster, the police officers who were at the scene claimed that there was no need to perform a post-mortem on Yuval's body, and according to the family, one of the police officers lied regarding the situation report that was written in the incident. As a result, the family filed a complaint with the police against the police officers, which opened an investigation.
Since the events of the disaster in Yuval's family, they have contacted the state attorney - the person in charge of the State Attorney's Office several times to request a meeting, today we are publishing for the first time the planned meeting between the family and the head of the State Attorney's Office.
According to sources privy to the details, the police intend to close the case with disciplinary treatment of the police officers and not with the filing of indictments and criminal prosecution.
