Coming to Lyon to celebrate his birthday with a friend, a young man of just 26 years old was attacked with a knife on Sunday evening in the 6th arrondissement.
As the two men were heading towards their vehicle in the early morning to leave Lyon, they saw two delinquents breaking one of the windows of their car, indicates a police source confirming information from Le

The two men then tried to stop them from stealing their belongings inside.
If they managed to get one of the thieves out of the cabin, the latter was able to use his knife and inflict seven blows on the legs of one of the two friends before fleeing.
The injured young man was quickly taken care of by firefighters.
According to the local daily, he suffered deep cuts on both legs and received eight days of ITT.
An investigation was opened to find the two thieves, including the attacker.
A precedent in 2016
On X, Pascal Blache (Les Républicains), mayor of the 6th arrondissement, said he was
“dismayed by this news item”

“There was one death in 2016. We constantly ask for video surveillance on this square but the Lyon executive remains deaf to our requests
,” he added.
In October 2016, in the same area of Brotteaux, a 26-year-old from Drôme was fatally stabbed during a fight.
