Su próximo rival saldrá del duelo que jugarán, en el cierre de la jornada (no antes de las 21.30 de Argentina), Medvedev, tercer favorito, y el chileno Nicolás Jarry, 22° preclasificado.

Los duelos de cuarto se completarán este jueves, en una jornada que arrancará a las 14:00 con el choque entre el alemán Alexander Zverev (4°) y el húngaro Fabian Marozsan, la gran sorpresa del certamen, y continuará a las 20 con el duelo entre el español Alcaraz, máximo favorito, y el búlgaro Grigor Dimitrov (11°).
