The

“pajamas of anger”

.

This is the expression used by an elected official from Loire-Atlantique to describe his operation carried out on Tuesday, during a community council meeting in Clisson Sèvre and Maine Agglo.

As spotted by our colleagues from

L'Hebdo Sèvre and Maine

, who witnessed this funny scene live, Yves Mignotte arrived on site... in slippers and night suit!

“The agenda of this council includes... 72 points.

It’s totally ridiculous and unfortunately very counterproductive!”

, introduced the person concerned, to justify his clothing on which a teddy bear appeared.

“If we exchange five minutes per question the council will last 6 hours… Or, we don’t ask questions,”

he continued, specifying that he

“wanted to be ridiculous to show how ridiculous it was”

.

Not enough debate

The council finally ended at 10:30 p.m.

The entourage of the president of the agglomeration community emphasizes that the session ultimately went well, since it ended at a reasonable time.

And that the 72 points do not arise from a

“will of the agglomeration but from regulatory obligations”

.

This gave a

“friendly”

feel but did not unduly disrupt the session.

Usually, the subjects are fewer and the deadlines rather respected, unlike at a time when the deadlines were much later.

Asked by

Le Figaro

, Yves Mignotte confides that

“beyond the hour, [he] always regrets that we do not take enough time on important subjects”

.

Ranked on the left of the political spectrum, the opposition representative regrets a lack of debate on the issues discussed on Tuesday, such as the tax increase or the budget.

More than 1000 pages examined

This weekend, he spent two days going through more than 1,000 pages, and had to hit some dead ends.

“I would like us to prioritize debate times and not rush the topics

,” insists the man who also sits on the Clisson municipal council.

His municipal colleagues from the Clisson group invent together also thought that he would not dare to go that far.

“The question I asked myself is: how can I express my disagreement with the number of points to be voted on in the urban council

,” he insists to justify himself, not a little proud of his achievement.

Faced with this communication stunt, the president of Clisson Sèvre and Maine Agglo, Jean-Guy Cornu, responded as follows:

“I hadn't seen the difference with your other clothes!”

“We get along badly and well,”

laughs Yves Mignotte about his political opponent.

“He is quite receptive to humor.

We can slap each other pretty hard while still respecting each other.”

From now on, without wanting to become the council's prankster, Yves Mignotte is still thinking of returning to a swimsuit when it comes to discussing questions surrounding the tax on the management of aquatic environments and flood prevention (Gemapi ), or the reconstruction of the Clisson swimming pool.
