Professor Daniel Kahneman, winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics, passed away today (Wednesday) at the age of 90. The prestigious prize was awarded to Kahneman in 2002 for the research he conducted together with Amos Tversky on the subject of "decision-making under conditions of uncertainty" as part of their work in social psychology, and the impact of the research on the way they operate of economists, although he says he "never took a course in economics"..
On November 20, 2013, the President of the United States, Barack Obama, awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award given in the United States.
