A police spokesman said on Wednesday (March 27) that a passer-by had spotted the animal near Federal Highway 2 near Treuchtlingen.
After the incident, which had occurred the previous week, the pony was returned unharmed to its owner.
The spokesman confirmed that there were no accidents.
