The IDF spokesman allowed today (Wednesday) to publish that Master Sergeant Nissim Kahlon was killed in a battle in the Gaza Strip. Kahlon, 21 years old, a fighter in the 435th Battalion of Givatay, fell as a result of an encounter with terrorists.

Kahlon is survived by his parents, a brother and 2 sisters.
The Kahlon family, an old and well-known ultra-Orthodox family in the Givat Olga neighborhood.
His uncle is Rabbi Lior Kahlon, a prominent figure among the religious community and in the city in general, head of the "Rav Pelim" yeshiva in Hadera, which has hundreds of students.
Nissim was named after his grandfather, the late Rabbi Nissim Kahlon.
