The Reichenkirchen Volunteer Fire Department is ready for action.

Not just for their big party, which is coming up this year.

The numbers that were heard at the service and annual general meeting at Rauch in Grucking were impressive.

Grucking - The force is well positioned in terms of daytime alarm security as well as technical and personnel readiness.

Commander Tobias Lütticham reported this.

Its 65 active members were called to 23 missions (375 hours) last year.

“In total, our fire brigade put in 1,560 hours with everything – radio exercises, machinist exercises, training and further education, work assignments including the youth fire brigade,” said the proud commander.

The experiences with the new cell phone alarm via the integrated control center via “FF Agent” are positive.

The alarm monitor has now also been installed in the equipment shed.

Cooperation with district fire officer Florian Pleiner and district fire chief Marcell Garcia, who introduced himself personally at the meeting, is also going well.

“In addition, our fire station now has an external emergency power supply and has been freshly painted,” said Lüttich.

The commander then honored his predecessor Rudi Pfeil for 40 years of active fire service with a certificate of honor and promoted Josef Dafinger to chief extinguisher and Harald Fritz to chief firefighter.

Stephan Fenk was appointed deputy equipment manager after successful training in Regensburg.

Youth warden Günter Jungwirth reported that there are currently ten youth firefighters.

Jonas Schraufstetter and Benedikt Ott were elected youth representatives.

At the general meeting almost everything revolved around the upcoming founding celebration.

First, chairman Martin Hintermaier remembered the deceased club members Georg Hintermaier and Konrad Schäffler with a minute's silence.

Looking back on the club's eventful year, Hintermaier regretted the bad weather at the village festival.

The club currently has 163 members, whom Hintermaier thanked.

“It's starting to get serious,” he said.

The twelve-member festival committee planned the 150th founding festival well in May with 19 meetings.

As reported, the billboards have already been put up.

On April 22nd there will be an information evening with detailed planning of the event.

“Beautiful festival weather is important, which is why we will pray for it on May 11th at 6 a.m. during a petition to Maria Thalheim.

You have to come with us too!” said the fire chief to patron Hans Wiesmaier.

The founding festival begins on Wednesday, May 29th at 6 p.m. with the beer tapping on the village square.

The live band Gaudi Harmonie plays in the tent.

On Thursday there is a white sausage breakfast at 8:30, followed by a Corpus Christi procession and family day with a large fire brigade exhibition.

From 6 p.m. there will be a musical cabaret evening with Petzenhauser & Wahlt.

On Friday, May 31st, there will be the community's seniors' afternoon from 2 p.m. and the "Fire Train Party" with DJ Georg from Alpin FM from 8 p.m.

On Saturday, June 1st, there will be a beer and wine festival in the festival tent from 7 p.m. with the Troglauer from Upper Palatinate.

On the festival Sunday, June 2nd, there will be a church service in the village square and a large parade.

Treasurer Manuel Schmidt reported that he had already paid 15,000 euros in advance for the founding party.

There was also support for dressing the ladies of the festival in new dirndls.

Mayor and patron Wiesmaier said: “It is a wonderful feeling to be part of the fire department and to be there for your fellow human beings.” And he praised the good cooperation with the district fire inspection.

The municipality is providing 450,000 euros to purchase a replacement fire engine next year.

At the end, Hintermaier, together with Wiesmaier, named Anton Gruber an honorary member with a certificate.
