"We are convinced that there are no sustainable behaviors so small as to be irrelevant, we are convinced that the daily actions are the most incisive, starting from those adopted by the widespread enterprise system. A "stamp" like ours, for example, does not change life today , but it is a tangible sign that can encourage that change that will allow us to have a better life tomorrow."
Words from the president of Confcommercio Carlo Sangalli, from the stage of the 'Imprendigreen' initiative, adding that "we try to address a topic like the environmental one, which is vast and complex, indeed, global, in a very pragmatic way", and this "starting from the so-called three R - Recycle, Reuse, Reduce - which distinguish the quality of Italian companies by rooting knowledge, and therefore an environmental awareness, with good examples in the area that can represent a driving force for growth for our companies", he argued.
Finally, mentioning "Father Francesco Occhetta, a Jesuit of great culture, a friend of Confcommercio", Sangalli stated that the religious man in one of his texts "used a quote from the book 'The Lord of the Rings'. And a character from the book, Gandalf, claims that " I have discovered that it is the small things, the daily actions of ordinary people that keep the darkness at bay". And, let us add - continued the number one of Confcommercio - these small things, one after the other, will save the world, achieving that ecological transition that it is certainly the responsibility of large companies - companies, institutions, countries - but it inevitably involves normal people, local businesses, and everyday choices".
