In a study published last month in the Academic Journal of Evolutionary Psychology, researchers wondered whether women with long diapers are more attractive to men, and therefore have more sex.
As part of their basic assumptions, the academics used female characters in culture and fiction, who were blessed with cascades of flowing hair, including Venus from Botticelli's well-known painting "Birth of Venus", and even Rapunzel, who dangled her hair from the top of the tower so that the knight would climb it and come to rescue her and rescue her from captivity.
"Such depictions of women with long, silky hair create an image of femininity, which may be alluring to the viewer due to the complex sense of femininity presented to them," declared the team led by Jung Yun Cheon.
"The image of an ideal woman often involves the fact that she has long, silky hair," they continued to explain "However, the lack of psychological research regarding hair limits human understanding of the role of female hair in romantic relationships."

to find out if a woman's hair has any effect on her activity In the bedroom, the team recruited 204 heterosexual married couples, asking them questions about their hair quality, hair length, attractiveness, libido, sexual frequency and sexual satisfaction.

The results revealed that men are horny for long hair, and that women with long and healthy hair were considered hotter by their partners - and as a result had more sex.
"Women with longer hair are more attractive to men, and this affects their libido," the team concluded.
"This increased sexual desire was associated with a high likelihood of more frequent intercourse among couples."
The women involved in the study were also asked questions about their partners' hair, and although it can be assumed that men with thick hair also send the same evolutionary messages about attractiveness and fertility, the results revealed that there was no correlation between the man's mane of hair and his sex life.
While this could be welcome news for balding guys, the researchers admit that more research needs to be done.
"To explore how the importance of hair quality or length may vary across different demographics, motivations, or life stages," Cheon and team stated.
In addition, they also noted that their study included only married couples, and that it may be a completely different game for singles and in short-term relationships: "The preferences and behaviors of couples in the nascent stages of dating may differ from those in longer, more established relationships," they wrote.
"Such potential changes in individual preferences deserve further investigation in future studies."
