Environmental awareness is progressing, however, in tertiary companies - mainly due to costs - investments are still going a little in slow motion: over 50% of companies that use 'green' resources have between 7 and 15 employees, while "for the smallest the road to ecological transition is still tiring", since "costs and bureaucracy do not help to make the big leap", therefore 40% of production companies, "despite being sensitive to environmental issues, state that the costs necessary to become sustainable, to date, they are still high, 25% complain of excessive bureaucracy and rules that are difficult to understand and interpret".
This is what emerges from the reading of the data released this morning by Confcommercio, which launched 'Imprendigreen', the initiative that accompanies companies in the path of the ecological transition, in collaboration with the Sant'Anna University School of Pisa and Enea, and with the patronage of Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security.
According to the analysis carried out, it is highlighted, "to reduce energy consumption, 40% of companies have installed efficient machinery, systems and/or appliances", however "actions to support sustainable mobility are very rare, on average only 4, 8 out of 100 companies have purchased electric or hybrid vehicles."
And, on the water side, the survey reveals that "5 out of 10 companies have mainly adopted interventions to limit water withdrawals and consumption, especially those of services and smaller ones. This is followed by waste water treatments to control pollutants, which are only possible in "the scope of some production realities, those for the reuse and recycling of water and the control actions of environmental contaminants, with a growing involvement of larger companies", finally Confcommercio reports.
