Many visitors are coming to the Tölz Easter market again this year.

However, the stall owners are currently drawing a mixed conclusion.

Bad Tölz – Despite the unpleasant weather, the Tölz Easter market attracted numerous visitors to Marktstrasse at the weekend.

Numerous stalls invite you to stroll there until April 1st.

The stand owners have different assessments for the opening weekend.

Traders at the Tölz Easter market take stock: “This weekend wasn’t that special”

“I really missed something here,” was Adelheid Nardella’s impression after three days of market.

The Altöttinger is represented with her stand at the Tölz Easter market for the first time this year.

You can find soaps and creams made from sheep's milk.

Their premiere at the Easter market almost fell through in the last few meters.

“I missed the application deadline,” says Nardella.

She finally got to her stand via a detour and has been happy with many customers so far.

She is very impressed by the pleasant atmosphere.

“I definitely have to come back next year,” she is already sure.

Renate Dresel from Emmering is a long-time resident at the Easter market.

She has been selling candles decorated with Christian motifs there for over 20 years.

The Emmering native even witnessed the beginnings of the market.

“Back then there were only a few stands around the winemaker monument,” says Dresel.

Sales have been rather slow so far.

“This weekend wasn’t that special.” One of the reasons for this is that people aren’t really in the mood to buy at the moment.

“People are saving,” says Dresel.

In addition, there is a certain level of competition this year, as a stand in the immediate vicinity has a similar offer.

Sunday was the day with the highest sales so far

Dali Romdhani, who offers bowls, wooden spoons and cutting boards made of olive wood at his stand, also draws a mixed conclusion.

“The first two days were really bad,” says the stand owner from Bonn.

There were few people on Marktstrasse.

However, it was completely different on Sunday afternoon, where customer frequency increased significantly.

As a rule, the Easter market doesn't go as well as the Tölz Christmas market, where Romdhani also regularly has a stand.

“But it also takes twice as long,” says the man from Bonn.

Kristyna Seebauer from Oberhausen is in a much more positive mood.

She has been selling painted Easter eggs at the market for 17 years.

“I'm very happy.” The only thing was that the weather didn't really cooperate.

Nevertheless, Sunday was the day with the highest sales.

“It was probably because shopping was open on Sunday,” the stall owner suspects.

In general, Sundays are usually busier than during the week.

“And if the weather is nice, things will certainly go well in the next few days,” hopes Seebauer.
