Heavy barrage towards the north, March 27, 2024/27A
The extremist Sunni organization Al-Jama'a Al-Islamiya - the Lebanese branch of the "Muslim Brotherhood" - suffered a severe blow tonight in an air force attack in the south of the country, when at least seven of its members were killed when a building was hit in the town of Al-Habariya.
Media outlets affiliated with Hezbollah claimed that the building of an Islamic aid and charity organization was attacked, but Israel said that the target was al-Jamaa al-Islamiyya, whose military arm - al-Fajr forces - has been involved in several rocket launches and attacks against Israel since The beginning of the current fighting.

The military arm, established with the start of the First Lebanon War in 1982, was relatively dormant until the outbreak of the Gaza War on October 7.
Despite the ideological differences between it and the Shiite Hezbollah, they cooperate against Israel.
"We are not in complete coordination with Hezbollah," the organization's senior official Bassem Hammoud said in an interview with the Emirati newspaper "The National" in October.
"We have disagreements with them on several matters, but we are together in terms of opposition to Israel."
