An unprecedented journalistic story has come to an end in the USA tonight: a revolt by NBC and MSNBC journalists against the network's management's decision last Friday to hire Rona McDaniel - a former close associate of President Trump and an activist in the Republican Party - as a political commentator.
Until recently, McDaniel was a member of the RNC - The Republican National Committee, and in fact the leadership of the party. She is famous for having taken a significant part in the attempts to reverse the results of the 2020 election, in which Trump lost to Biden. Among other things, McDaniel was involved in the phone call to Michigan County officials in which they were required not to approve the vote from the Detroit area.
McDaniel was actually removed "by" Trump from the presidency of the RNC recently because she ran primaries that were "too balanced" for Trump and his people against Nikki Haley, but the journalists did not forget her that she tried to turn the election and continued to stick to the version that Biden was not elected by voter law.
Since then McDaniel has been vigorously dealing in the media casting doubt on the election results and Biden's victory.
Since it became known that McDaniel became a paid commentator for the network, most of the network's main presenters and some of its commentators have boldly come out against the management's decision, live, while explaining the reasons for it.

Among other things, the presenters claimed, live, that a news system whose job it is to reveal the truth and serve the public - "cannot knowingly employ a liar as a commentator (in this case - political), who acted and acts against democracy to serve one person and not a worldview".
