To mark the 160th anniversary of Jules Verne's novel
Journey to the Center of the Earth
, visitors will be able to attend a unique immersive theater play on May 10 and 11, 2024.
By strolling through the underground galleries, spectators will be plunged into the center of an interactive intrigue, 103 meters underground, after being welcomed by a cocktail in the Gouffre restaurant with “character interaction”.
The plot, which takes place in the spring of 1899, follows the steps of Édouard-Alfred Martel, the explorer who discovered the site.

This year, the Padirac chasm is offering other offbeat activities such as “Explorer Evenings”.
Accompanied by expert guides, visitors can explore the chasm at nightfall, equipped with lanterns.
From April to October, the multisensory experience brings together 40 people over five evenings.
A real success last year, each session was full and more than 200 people participated in total.
Practical information
: April 20, July 13, August 27, September 28 and October 26.
Visit preceded by a glass of champagne and a buffet dinner.
Duration: 3 hours, from 9 p.m.
Prices: €150 for adults, €80 for 4-12 year olds.
