But the viewers are not at all impressed with the “Heart on Board” cast.
Canary Islands/Madeira – love on the high seas – this is apparently not only available on ZDF’s “Dream Ship”, but also on Vox.
As early as 2023, Wayne Carpendale (46) tried to pair up singles on “Heart on Board – Freshly in Love on the High Seas”.
On March 19, 2024, Vox launched the second season.
But for the audience, the participants tend to belong in trash formats - they exclude a serious dating agency.

Pleasant temperatures, a good sea breeze and butterflies in the stomach – that’s what “Herz aboard” advertises to the candidates.
And viewers are also looking forward to watching from their couch at home how singles may possibly meet their true love on board a cruise ship.
But after the opening episode on Tuesday evening it was clear: the fans would have wanted other candidates.
The reason: Many participants are already known from other TV shows.

Candidate Nicolas Müller already has dating show experience.
The Saarlander took part in “Love Island” in 2022 and left the show as the winner alongside Jennifer Iglesias (25).
But the happiness didn't last too long - Nico is said to have cheated on his partner at the time.
His “Heart on Board” competitor Patrick Fabian is also not unknown on television.
The 36-year-old took on a role on “Berlin – Day & Night” for a long time - and privately caused a stir, especially with his love life.
After separating from his ex Lea, with whom he has a child, he was recently caught chatting with reality TV celebrity Kate Merlan (37).
Kate's husband Jakub Jarecki (28), with whom she has had an on-off relationship for years, didn't like that at all.
Filming location of “Heart on Board”
Even without taking part in the dating show, viewers can take a vacation on the cruise ship from the show.
The AIDAcosma served as the location.
At the time of filming, according to schiffe-und-kreuzfahrten.de, the ship was traveling on the winter route around the Canary Islands and Madeira.

Well-known trash stars are apparently not what viewers expected in the Vox dome show.

(formerly Twitter) expressed their dissatisfaction with the occupation.
“NICO?!
Who allegedly cheated on his ex with escorts???,” asks a user, apparently shocked.
“Well, there are some candidates that we already know from other trash formats,” says someone else.
“It's reheated candidate material again,” says another annoyed viewer.
A quarter stated bluntly: “What a shitty choice of men again.” They obviously don't believe that the men have serious intentions.

only 0.60 million people watched, which corresponds to a market share of just 2.5 percent.
In the young target group, Vox had 0.18 million people (3.7 percent market share).
Dating shows haven't had it easy on TV lately.
The ProSieben show hosted by Wayne Carpendale's wife Annemarie Carpendale (46) also flopped.
