A police patrol checked a dangerous goods transport on the A99 on Wednesday - and couldn't believe their eyes: 30 kilos of explosives, unsecured in the loading area.

Hohenbrunn

- On Wednesday, March 27th, around 11 a.m., the Hohenbrunn traffic police inspection carried out a check on a French van with a trailer on the A99 in Hohenbrunn. The vehicle combination was marked with orange signs as dangerous goods transport and with so-called placards as explosives transport.

Driver not authorized to handle explosives

The 26-year-old French driver did not have a certificate of explosives law. The police report that he is therefore not authorized to handle the explosives. He was also unable to produce a transfer permit. There were 30 kilos of explosives in the back of the trailer, which were transported completely unsecured. The driver commercially transported the explosives from France to Austria to an armaments factory.
