Indispensable for the wedding: bridal bouquet and wedding rings.
But apart from that, there is a lot more organization that brides and grooms have to do for their wedding.

For many people, the wedding is the most beautiful day of their lives.
Nevertheless, brides and grooms are getting married later and later.
Likewise, their ideas about the perfect celebration change.
Two wedding planners clarify.
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen - Facing the future together hand in hand and committing to each other for the rest of your life: For many, the wedding is the most beautiful day of their lives.
Nevertheless, lovers in Germany are getting married later and later.
The average age has now risen to a record high: According to the Federal Statistical Office, women marry on average at 32.6 years and men at 35.1 years.
Brides and grooms are getting older: Tölz registrar explains development
“I can only confirm this development for us,” says Wolfgang Steger when asked by our newspaper.
The 50-year-old has been working as a registrar in Bad Tölz for 22 years.
“Today it is normal for women to study or do an apprenticeship,” he explains the trend.
“After that, women want to have a career before they think about marriage and children.
Things used to be different.”
194 wedding ceremonies took place in Bad Tölz in 2023.
With a speech and music, this ceremony can last half an hour, Steger knows from experience.
“Some couples don't want a lot of fuss, in such cases it's over in five minutes.
That’s always a matter of type.”

Wedding planners like Franziska Bitsolis ensure that everything runs smoothly after the ceremony.
The Geretsried woman originally specialized in marriages abroad, more specifically in Italy and Greece.
“I have lived in both countries and therefore have a special connection to them,” says the 29-year-old.
However, since she became a mother, Bitsolis has tried to move her orders more to the region again.
Wedding planner organizes a celebration for up to two years
The majority of her customers are in their late 20s and early 30s. “Younger people often can’t afford a wedding planner,” says the self-employed person.
Bitsolis' prices for weddings in Germany start on average at 6,800 euros.
The Geretsried woman plans to hold a single celebration for up to two years.
“If I start early enough, there is still a large selection of service providers and locations,” she explains.

The couples often come to her office with specific wishes and ideas.
“After getting engaged, many people first get inspired via social media.” This year, very colorful weddings with lots of flowers are in demand.
Older couples, on the other hand, prefer more elegant celebrations, according to Bitsolis.
Martina Anders’ customers are also “varied” – from their late 20s to over 50s.
The woman from Wolfratshausen has been working as a wedding planner since 2017.
Her specialty: small celebrations for two to ten people, in the mountains or at lakes in Bavaria and Austria.
“Corona brought this trend to me,” says the 42-year-old.
“Now it is becoming more and more common for couples to want to enjoy their big day just as a couple.” Often in conjunction with a vacation in a beautiful place.

On average, Anders organizes between 20 and 30 weddings per year.
“This combination of mountains and lake is always ideal, whether in winter or summer,” enthuses the woman from Wolfratshausen.
The only months that were “somewhat difficult” were April and November.
“Many hotels and restaurants are still closed at this point.” Day after day, the 42-year-old deals with the most romantic moment in every relationship.

“Still, I’m not a romantic,” emphasizes Anders.
“Wedding planning has nothing to do with romance.
It's more objective and structured.” The woman from Wolfratshausen reveals that a special moment in every wedding is still close to her heart: “When the big day comes, everything has worked out – and I look into the couple's happily beaming eyes.”
