Ukraine's security services (SBU) said on Wednesday they had arrested two people suspected of being Russian agents who allegedly transmitted the locations of sensitive military targets to Moscow's forces.
“As a result of a special operation, two FSB agents were arrested in kyiv and Odessa,” the SBU said in a statement, referring to Russian security services.
“The criminals attempted to identify the locations of Ukrainian troops and then send the occupiers relevant coordinates to adjust Russian air attacks,” the statement added.
The latter also merged the locations of military installations and important infrastructure in the Kiyv, Odessa and Poltava regions.
Both received money to carry out their tasks.
The perpetrators were informed of suspicions of treason.

The two suspected Russian agents “were arrested red-handed while spying on potential targets for the occupiers,” according to the SBU.
One of the suspects photographed a thermal power plant, apparently to help Russia strike Ukrainian energy infrastructure, according to the same source.
The two men have been charged with collaboration and face life in prison.
Since the start of the conflict, Ukraine has opened more than 6,600 criminal proceedings against individuals “for collaboration or other crimes linked to the conflict” the UN indicated at the end of 2023.
