Due to canal work on the Aßlinger Büchsenberg, heavy goods traffic is rolling over the TSV training ground.

Apparently this is just the (bypass) route of lower resistance.

Aßling

- As the community's manager, Wilfried Graupe describes the diversion for heavy goods and car traffic, which has been running this week via the lower football pitch on Aßlinger Büchsenberg and down the mountain path towards Steinkirchner Straße, as "more or less without alternative".

As deputy chairman of the TSV, Graupe speaks of “massive problems” and a “serious cut” in the training and game operations of the Aßlingen footballers.

Path of least resistance?

As part of the construction work on a separation canal system for rainwater and dirty water throughout the town, the construction phase in the area of the western Büchsenberg, Grafinger Straße and the streets above, has picked up speed.

And the trucks and construction machines race across the black floor tiles on the side strip of the only football pitch with floodlights.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Ebersberg newsletter.)

“Massive problems” and “serious disruption” to training and game operations

The fact that a critical point in the football department with its currently 18 teams is being mistreated has far-reaching consequences.

Starting with the limited parking spaces in the surrounding side streets, the construction fence, which is moving a long way towards the sixteen-yard box, is making large-field games generally impossible, and not just in the current second half of the season.

Even if the floor slabs disappear “by the end of May” as Graupe hopes, the tons of constant load and the rain are likely to permanently destroy the long side of the lawn.

But there are very few who don't go along with it.

Mayor Hans Fent didn't want to risk a halt to construction with a potential dispute over an alternative route

The path over the TSV terrain is that of lower resistance.

The community had to reject the agriculturally used dirt road towards Pörsdorf as an alternative that was longer but actually preferred.

Mayor Hans Fent (independent) explains this upon request.

Although this is dedicated to the public, for historical reasons it partly runs over private land.

Of the numerous local property owners, the vast majority were cooperative and helpful.

However, Fent promises that the sports field will be repaired after the construction site is over.
