Storm warning in France.
Six departments (Côtes, d'Armor, Finistère, Loire-Atlantique, Vendée, Deux-Sèvres, Charente-Maritime) are placed on orange violent wind alert for this Thursday, according to the 4 p.m. bulletin from Météo France.
The Var will be under the sign of vague orange submergence vigilance.
This Thursday, the passage of depression “Nelson” over the south of England will be accompanied by violent gusts of wind.
The forecaster describes a “stormy episode requiring particular vigilance”.

“In the departments placed on orange vigilance, the expected values are of the order of 120 to 130 km/h near the coasts and 100 or even occasionally 110 km/h inland, under stormy “squalls” in particular” , announces Météo France.
The strongest gusts are expected around midday.
The lull will occur at the end of the afternoon or evening.
