“I can no longer hear anything in my right ear”: what is otosclerosis, the disease from which Frédéric Lopez suffers?

The host of “A Sunday in the Country” on France 2 revealed to our colleagues from Nice-Matin that he is handicapped by a progressive illness which affects his hearing.

In 2019, I had surgery on my right ear but it didn't work. I don't hear anything from that side anymore. »

As for the left ear, he declares having 50% of his hearing faculties

Otosclerosis is a genetic disease that progressively degrades the hearing capabilities of one or both ears depending on the case.
