It was the neighbors who made the sinister discovery. A man was found unresponsive, suffering from several stab wounds, this Thursday, March 28 at the end of the afternoon in Grigny (Essonne). He could not be resuscitated despite the intervention of emergency services. An investigation into “murder” has been opened.
It was shortly before 6 p.m. that the events occurred on Place de l'Oiseau, in the Grande Borne district. A man is discovered lying alone in the hall of number 4. He has just been hit by several blows with a knife.
A victim in his forties
Emergency services are immediately notified. Firefighters and a team from Smur de Corbeil-Essonnes came to the aid of the inanimate victim and attempted cardiac massage. But less than half an hour later, the man was pronounced dead.
Little information is available at this stage on this homicide. We only know that the stabbed man was “around forty years old”, reports a source close to the case. No suspects have been arrested at this time. An investigation for “murder” was opened blatantly and entrusted to the interdepartmental judicial police service (SIPJ) of Essonne. We were unable to contact the Évry-Courcouronnes public prosecutor's office. The mayor of Grigny Philippe Rio told us that he would make “no comments” immediately.
A popular district of Grigny, a city among the poorest in France, Grande Borne has long been home to several drug trafficking rings, even if it is too early to establish any link between Thursday's murder and illicit trade. The Essonne city was marked, in the summer of 2023, by the death of Armelle, known as Deo, found deceased in a freezer inside an apartment, Place du Damier.
