Mongolian news agency MONTSAME and ANSA on Wednesday signed a cooperation agreement making available and providing for the exchange of content for use on their respective platforms.


   The agreement was signed from remote in the presence of the Italian Ambassador to Ulaanbaatar Giovanna Piccarreta and the Minister Counselor of the Embassy of Mongolia in Rome, Mandakhtsetseg Khatanbaatar.


   Under the agreement, subscribers of the two agencies will now be able to enjoy a broader range of international information services as the partners will be able to use each other's information services for editorial purposes and develop joint commercial proposals to support the communication of institutions and companies in their respective countries.


   Ambassador Giovanna Piccarreta said: "Italy and Mongolia share the values ​​of democracy, the rule of law and the protection of human rights, starting with freedom of expression and of the press", adding that she was "particularly pleased to be present for the signing of this important agreement between ANSA and MONTSAME news agencies".


   It is, she added, "an agreement that contributes to bringing ourcountries and our citizens even closer together, on the eve of the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy andMongolia, which will fall next year".


   Minister Counselor Mandakhtsetseg Khatanbaatar from the Embassyof Mongolia in Rome, expressed satisfaction with the agreement:"Nowadays, the exchange of news and information between nations and peoples is vast and open, but having accurate and meaningful information from qualified sources remains a challenge. Under the cooperation agreement between MONTSAME and ANSA, the citizens of Mongolia and Italy will have the opportunity to develop better mutual understanding and stronger ties by receiving accurate and reliable information from trustworthy sources. The Embassy supports and wishes success to this cooperation in order to share and showcase the rich history, culture, heritage and achievements of the two countries within their respective communities and to international audiences".


   MONTSAME Director General Sodontogos Erdenetsogt said "today marks a significant milestone for MONTSAME. Our moderndiplomatic relations, which formally began in 1970, togetherwith our historical ties form a solid basis for cooperation invarious fields. I am confident that the partnership betweenMONTSAME and ANSA will not only strengthen the bond between ourcountries, but also promote understanding and solidarity betweenour peoples. Through the regular exchange of information and resources, we aim to facilitate greater awareness andappreciation of each other's cultures, traditions and values".
