The flames ravaged the squat and, in the rubble, firefighters discovered the lifeless body of an adult. A victim who was in one of the squatted apartments in the Cité du Château in Argenteuil (Val-d'Oise), in the Val-Notre-Dame district. A city walled for several years awaiting its demolition.
The alert was given this Thursday shortly after 9 a.m. When the firefighters arrived at 33, avenue du Château, the flames devastated the accommodation located on the third floor. Upon their arrival with the police crews from the Argenteuil police station, some of the people who found refuge in the ancient city came to meet the rescue services, others took off.
