A 48-year-old man lost his life in a road accident that occurred this morning in Sant'Agata Bolognese. According to initial information, it was a side collision between two cars at the intersection, regulated by a traffic light, between via Montirone and via Ghiarone. For the 48-year-old man driving one of the two cars there was nothing that could be done. Two other people, a 58-year-old woman and a 47-year-old man, suffered moderate injuries. 118 intervened on site, with three ambulances and a medical vehicle, as well as firefighters and carabinieri, to carry out legal investigations. The victim was called Angelo Russo, 48 years old, of Campania origin but resident for some time in the Modena area. He was alone driving a Volvo which, after the impact with a Ford, overturned. From an initial reconstruction, the accident, which occurred at an intersection regulated by a traffic light, may have been caused by one of the drivers failing to respect a 'red' light.
