The dosing light in Achenkirch will be used for the last time (for now) on Saturday, March 30th. It is intended to ensure a regulated traffic flow on the busy B181 at Achensee.

After the test day, all collected data will be evaluated
The concept was already tested on two Saturdays during the carnival holidays and on the first Saturday of the Easter holidays last year. Especially on the first day of operation, there were significant backlogs in the direction of Lenggries, which extended beyond Lake Sylvenstein. Following next Saturday, the data collected will be evaluated and serve as a basis for future and long-term measures to improve the traffic situation in the region.
National traffic should remain on the motorway
In general, the aim is to ensure that national traffic uses the (toll) route via the Inntal motorway A12 and Kufstein and does not leave the A8 in Holzkirchen and then travel (toll-free) via Lenggries or the Miesbach district towards Austria.
