On this day in January 2023, Yuri Nikolov couldn't believe it. This investigative journalist had received a copy of a 320 million euro contract a few days earlier from a source showing that the Ukrainian army was purchasing products at inflated prices. This was not the first time that Yuri found evidence of wrongdoing. Since 2010, his organization, Nashi Hroshi (“our money” in Ukrainian), has aimed to highlight the misappropriation of public funds by analyzing public procurement calls made by the Ukrainian state.
