LE FIGARO. – The President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, regularly mentions the Russian existential threat to Europe and has made it a campaign focus for Europeans. Do you share your point of view? Is Russia a threat to Europe?

I find it interesting to observe the reactions abroad, in Italy or Poland, countries which have been fervent defenders of Ukraine from the start, but which denounce a headlong flight and therefore a form of irresponsibility of Emmanuel Macron. He embarks on a spiral of which we are not sure of the outcome. To wage war, one must still have the assurance or at least the high probability of winning it. However, to cite just a few figures, France is capable of producing 3,000 shells per month even though Ukraine consumes nearly 60,000 each month; there are around 200 tanks in France, when around ten tanks are destroyed every day in…
